Years ago, canoeists used “wanigans”, gear boxes made of wood sized to fit right into their canoes. These wanigans made it fast and easy to load and unload a canoe but they were pretty heavy and awkward to maneuver in the bush. Using our IQ System, Mad River brings this concept into the 21st Century with our Overbag/Wanigan. IQ bolt ropes are adjustable to fit canoes of differing widths and slide easily in and out of the boat. No need to lash them in, they aren’t going anywhere. Curved top zipper provides easy access to bulky gear. Handy side handles make it easy to lift in and out of canoe. Fabric top deck and mesh sides and base with exterior pocket. Two can be mounted in just about any canoe, one on either side of the center yoke.
