Mad River Canoe was founded in 1971 by Jim and Kay Henry, both accomplished canoeists and kayakers who shared a passion for wilderness tripping and whitewater racing. It was their woodshed in Waitsfield, Vermont that the first Mad River Canoe was born out of a need for a higher performance, more durable canoe than was currently available. Read More »
